What is more beautiful than learning music and sharing the same experience with your friends. Music learning becomes more fun and enjoyable through our music groups.
We start with early childhood music groups for children over 4 years old up to the age of 6 (with no accompaniment by their parents/guardians), Further, we have ukulele music groups, Boomwhackers groups (ages: 8-12), choir (available for all students of the school aged 6+), the Musical Theatre group (ages: 10 - 18), our theory and musicianship classes (for all children who take instrument lessons)
Starter Singers
4 - 5 years old
A unique experiential approach of music. Using singing as essential element in the classes, children have the opportunity to develop their singing skills. Further, through music and movement activities children experience and understand music elements through their body. Through this class children learn to walk and tap in beat, to recognize songs and be able to demonstrate them through movement, to play a variety of 2 notes songs, to sing in tune in a variety of instruments.
Movers Music Makers
5 - 7 years old
Through a playful procedure, children learn to read innovative music scores and play small melodies on various instruments. They learn to sing and create music in small ensembles with tuned and un-tuned instruments. In these music ensembles children have the chance to sing, play music pieces and move to the rhythm of songs. They will be able to recognize rhythms either written or aural and interpret them into a music score. In this class children have the opportunity to interact with a big variety of instruments.
Youngster Musicians
8 - 12 years old
Children through team and cooperative method of learning have the chance to develop their music skills and create singing and instrument ensembles. Children get acquainted with singing and movement games. This is a unique chance to express their emotions and be creative through the procedure and happiness that music making can offer. They have the chance to learn a variety of String, Percussion and Wind instruments.
Ukulele masters
6 - 11 years old
This is a unique opportunity to learn how to play the Ukulele within a group. Children have this great opportunity to learn with our professional ukulele teacher, how to play the ukulele in a more fan and joyful way that offers the group dynamic. There will be 2 small groups running for ages 6 - 8 years old and 9 - 11 .
AMusEd Boomwhackers Orchestra
8 - 12 years old
Boomwhackers are colored, hollow, plastic, musical tubes that produce different notes when are stuck on various surfaces. Each colour represents a different note. With a number of players and the Boomwhackers we can create a Boomwhacker Orchestra. This is a program for both music and non-music educated students. We will offer a step by step guidance to all the members of the orchestra. Every lesson consists of team building music activities, rhythmic games and melody playing. This is a class full of fun and a lot of movement. Children use the Boomwhackers to produce harmony and melody at the same time. Boomwhackers Orchestra enhances teamwork, collaboration and cooperation among the students. This is a great opportunity to make music with others and enjoy all the benefits of music making.
Theory and musicianship
Music is a language and as in all languages we learn not only to speak but also to read and write! Music theory and musicianship lessons are appropriate for all the people who take instrument lessons and they help them understand music language better. In these classes, students learn how to read and write music, and how all the music notes are connected and all together build the sounds we play and we hear. Further, they learn not only to recognize the written sounds and their relationship but also to recognize be hearing them. With these classes a music score is more well comprehend and improves their performance skills.
