Arts for Inclusion

Art can be a great tool for all educators who want to apply inclusive education to multicultural classes or towards students with disabilities. If you are looking for tools that will lead you to an inclusive education then this is the best course for you.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

• Clarify the value of arts as a tool in inclusive education

• Gain confidence in applying music activities in their daily routines

• Understand the various types of inclusion

• Create own action plan for inclusive education

• Learn a variety of music games, music activities and songs that can apply in the classrooms

METHODS:

Participants are encouraged to explore their own identities and perspectives while engaging with those of others, fostering empathy and understanding. Through hands-on art-making, drama lessons, workshops, and games, the course aims to embrace diversity and create a supportive environment in the classroom.

Day 1

• Ice- breaking activity

• Lecture: Why Arts for inclusion

• Lecture - Workshop: Introduction to the subject

Day 2

• What do we call inclusion today?

• Workshop: Fill your lesson with music and bring the fun!

Day 3

• Workshop: Discovering the world through art

• Art Games for energizers and teambuilding

Day 4

• Workshop: Drama lesson

• Group activity: How to set up a lesson

• Workshop: How to engage the students

Day 5

• Evaluation, Dissemination, Certification
